Overview
At Mdream, we believe in privacy by design. We've built our desktop application to keep your data on your machine, under your control. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
TL;DR: Your lead data stays on your computer. We don't see it, store it, or sell it. We only collect what's necessary to provide the service (license verification, payment processing).
Desktop App Data
What the App Does
Mdream is a desktop application that monitors publicly available RSS feeds and community posts. The app:
- Fetches publicly available RSS feeds from platforms like Reddit, Hacker News, IndieHackers, ProductHunt, and others
- Stores all fetched data locally on your computer
- Processes and filters content based on your keyword settings
- Never transmits your leads, keywords, or settings to our servers
Data Stored Locally
The following data is stored on your device only:
- Your keyword clusters and monitoring settings
- Fetched RSS feed content (posts, comments, etc.)
- Your lead organization (tags, read/unread status, notes)
- Exported CSV files (when you choose to export)
- Application preferences and settings
Data We DO Collect
For the app to function, we collect minimal data:
- License Key: To verify your subscription status
- Email Address: Associated with your account for license management
- App Version: To provide updates and support
AI Features (If Enabled)
If you use AI Insights features (Growth plan and above):
- Selected lead content may be sent to OpenAI's API for analysis
- This is initiated only when you explicitly request AI analysis
- We do not store the content sent to or received from OpenAI
- OpenAI's data handling is governed by their privacy policy
